Brief truism

None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free. -Johann Wolfgang van Goethe, poet, dramatist, novelist, and philosopher (1749-1832)

This truism seems to be pretty universal in application. To love, and to war.

As for the rest of the world: Gay marriage is still the big thing, Canada day in Ottawa is an excuse for wildness, horrible people murder innocents every day, and someone asked me if I want to be rich; as if by living in a first world country I was not. The difference in dreams of the youth of this present moment of earths existence by region are phenomenal. Some, it might be only a brighter future, others, its fancy cars and large property.

I'm beginning to not want to live in these exceptionally capitalist countries where people work more than they play. I think it transforms the very ways in which we communicate and socialize with each other. The very concept of friendship in these societies is clearly determined and defined by the age of capitalism.

Nobody has any time anymore.
Everyones finding ways to get more money.
We are a tragic species.
