Ottawa U :

Ottawa U, Ottawa U, what to say or think of Ottawa U.

Well, so I open my uottawa email account to find
1. political thought and post modernism has been cancelled (for unforeseen circumstances)
2. tuition is due today

...

so I go onto the registration navigator hoping they'd de-bugged it since the last time I was trying to register. NOPE. because im still in the old curriculum, the program is not programmed to recognize old course codes and as such, i have incomplete completed prerequisites. I think they arent fixing it because then those hags at the office still have something to do.

Boy do they piss me off.

Tuition went up. its gone up 130% in just the last couple years or so. My loan is enormous and this summer I failed to get a job that payed a surplus on top of the cost of living.

I also learned from technorati that this blog is worthless and good news is worth a thousand bucks. I wonder why that is- traffic or something? I post less here admittedly over the summer. Its more of my deviation during school, when i really want to have a thought.

meanwhile whats your deal

Hey
Awesome bike ride tonight, kinda sucks that the police got involved. I heard the ticket given to Dan wasn't too pricy but just in terms of principle, the cops had nothing to reproach us.

As for the registration navigator...
I hate the damn thing..never worked for me. I always had to go see the fac to register for classes. I don't know if this makes you feel better, just know you're not alone.

And as for tuition, all I can say is that these increases are ridicilous and need to end. We, as students, need to voice our dissatisfaction, hence why there is a campaign named 'A Call to Action' going on campus at OttawaU with Carleton and St-pauls and many other orgs. An email was sent to our uni accounts on wednesday - check it out.

Peace,
Mo

Oh ya and I've been meaning to suggest this crazy idea to u, in fact I think I may already have. That is, to publish your blogs somewhere like where Dooce.com publishes hers to maybe help out with finances. I'm just saying this for two reasons:
1- I love reading your blogs
2- you seem strapped for me and I would hate to see you work somewhere like Starbucks again

Whether this is even lucratively possible I dunno...but maybe worth lookin into if you haven't already
