POL 4187 Politics of International Ethics: Thesis

Dear Chelsea,

Here are my comments on your presentation:

Chelsea Flook

This was a smart and ambitious presentation, which sparked some very
interesting debate within the class. On the other hand, it did take on
rather too much for a three minute presentation, and didn¹t quite manage
to articulate the central arguments clearly enough. It would have been
more effective if you had focused in on one or two of the elements of
 this perspective.

for example your discussion of Foucault¹s insight into the
power of language and the truth claims of scientific rationality
and their implications for the conflict.

I suggest that you do the same for your
paper: choose one or two of these philosophers and work through the
implications of their claims for the conflict in Sudan and the ethics of
intervention.

That's an easy hint to a thesis eh what, may as well
i had a fun and clever time at it,

let me just sum up the debate

-take what i said

-elaborate what she tells me to

-including implications

[consequentialism of theory of theorists
who evaluate consequences of their juridico-discursive theory]

I am excited for reading week since it is also thinking and
writing week too. I think we need more reading weeks in our lives.

Steady as she goes.

steady.
