boring election

what a boring election. Nothing is extraordinary about any of this. Martin said this. Harper said that. Jack layton got angry. the BQ are aligning. everybody get scared for their futures, thats how politicians expect to motivate us. its all in the negative now ever since the days of nixon and his tactics, and when voters go do what they believe they should do, they dont get to believe in what they're doing as much as not believing in what someone else should or shouldnt be doing.

its all too similar to high school elections. everybody breaks promises. everbody promises the world to you.

i read an interesting article on thestar.com about how ignatieff is an attempt to bring back thoughtful people into politics. interesting how he is considered thoughtful and not cheaply motivated, all because he already has a pension and enough credibility and work done in his harvardery. meanwhile, my hero belinda stronach steps into politics, and she too does not need the money or fame, but is instead regarded as cunning and power hungry.

poor belinda. oh what love i have for you.
